Working on behalf of a tier 1 construction contractor

The Accounting Services Support Specialist is responsible for providing essential support to the FSD Accounting Services Team in their day-to-day operations. This role primarily involves tasks related to manual journal entries, recharges, and reconciling Balance Sheet accounts. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with initial training conducted in the office, followed by approximately two days per week of in-office work.

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Journal Entries:

Accurately post manual journal entries to the accounting system.
Ensure that journal entries comply with established accounting standards and company policies.
Collaborate with team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Recharge Processing:

Assist in processing recharges, ensuring proper allocation and documentation.
Verify the accuracy of recharge requests and follow up on any discrepancies.
Maintain records of recharge transactions.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation:

Participate in reconciling Balance Sheet accounts on a regular basis.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances.
Prepare reconciliation reports for review and approval.
Hybrid Working Arrangement:

Attend training sessions in the office to acquire necessary skills and knowledge.
Transition to a hybrid work schedule, with approximately two days per week spent working in the office.
Maintain effective communication with team members, whether working in the office or remotely.
Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions and activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members.
Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment, balancing office and remote work effectively.
