Our client, a large Construction Contractor is currently looking for a Bid Estimator to join their FM Team, joining a growing department with good growth opportunities.
Daily duties will include:
- Review and analyse project specifications and requirements
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for bidding purposes
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive project costing
- Evaluate potential risks and opportunities in bids
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Present estimates and proposals to clients and participate in negotiations
- Monitor and track bid outcomes and provide feedback for future improvements
Candidates will ideally:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Bid Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional membership or accreditation in relevant industry bodies
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects
- Knowledge of current market trends and pricing
Working Conditions:
