We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading real estate services firm, for an experienced Category Buyer/Procurement Manager to join their industry-leading Asset Services team.

About the Role:

This position will be responsible for managing specific categories of spend, overseeing contract management, supplier relationships, and supplier performance. Acting as a key point of contact within the organization for category management, you will collaborate with the Category Manager, Procurement Manager, and various business unit stakeholders to deliver client-focused procurement solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including negotiations with suppliers, ensuring effective category management within the portfolio
  • Lead tenders and perform detailed tender analysis
  • Conduct financial analysis and benchmarking to ensure best value procurement
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance to ensure contract compliance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and facilities managers
  • Serve as a key point of contact for dispute resolution
  • Oversee the performance of third-party vetting consultants

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of procurement and supply management experience
  • Experience in Property or Facilities Management (FM) is preferred
  • Professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS, with evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Expertise in procurement/contract management of soft and/or hard services, facilities, or property management is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and its application in purchasing
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and managing contractor performance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office, combined with strong numerical and analytical capabilities
