CDM Advisor - Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - £45-£55k+benefits package

As our new CDM Advisor, you’ll own the Health and Safety/CDM processes and procedures and monitor compliance within the design teams. Periodically reviewing and revising CDM processes and procedures with subject matter experts and Safety Health, Environmental and Assurance Systems Manager, you’ll deliver first class stakeholder management, advice and guidance on all things Health & Safety within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.

Key responsibilities:
Proactively oversee CDM compliance ensuring regulations and objectives are consistently met with other appointed duty holders leading by example
Produce timely and accurate CDM compliance reports and pre-construction information and distribute to those who require input or visibility, including the HSE
Review design assumptions and design risk assessments to ensure hazards have been eliminated or reduced to as low as is reasonably practicable.
Ensure designs comply with Safe to Operate’ requirements with operational staff’s wellbeing and overall project costs considered throughout
Develop and deliver Health & Safety training packages to designers and suppliers to ensure best practice and knowledge sharing is optimised.
Partner closely with the CDM Discipline Head to best meet CDM and the Clients requirements whilst pushing innovation and processes to ensure compliance in the most efficient fashion

Skills/Experience
To be considered or this excellent career opportunity, you’ll hold a qualification in Engineering or Health & Safety and have experience of working in a multi-discipline design team and be comfortable in applying Health & Safety principals in design. With an understanding of the operational and maintenance requirements of construction processes and procedures, you’ll be an effective communicator and operate with enthusiasm, flexibility and a problem-solving mentality as you express your passion to your stakeholders for Health & Safety.
