Salary:                £27,000 to £32,000 Per Annum + Package (Base salary negotiable on relevant experience)

Our client, a specialist Rail & Civil Engineering subcontractor within the Construction sector, is currently looking for a Commercial Administrator (Rail), to join their Rail team on a permanent basis (Please note: Our client is also happy to look at a Temp to Perm arrangement / Temporary to Permanent role, if preferred). In this role you will support the commercial team across multiple projects, focussing on commercial and contract support, through daily monitoring and activities.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Tracking weekly profit through working with Project Management staff, developing key relationships.
  • Monitor costs for each Project Team, monitoring vs PO’s, Credit Card, Petty Cash spend.
  • Produce Monthly Applications & Invoices and issue to clients.
  • Raise Subcontractor, plant hire & material purchase orders using Oracle.
  • Liaising with clients and accounts payable to resolve invoice queries.
  • Month End Process and Reporting.
  • Requesting credit checks for new clients, prior to undertaking work.
  • Ensuring Commercial Processes are being following by the wider team.
  • Supporting Commercial Controller with any ad hoc administration.

Candidates will ideally:

  • Have worked in a similar role before, supporting commercial teams with admin functions.
  • Have experience tracking and updating costs on a weekly basis.
  • Have worked with Project Management teams to ensure commercial information if collected and considered through the working week.
  • Be able to raise purchase order numbers, month end reports and issue invoices.
  • Have good I.T skills including the use of Microsoft Office Packages, specifically Excel.
  • Be methodical, organised with a keen eye for detail, strong communication and basic commercial skills.
