Travel: This role is primarily site based on sites located across the Severn Trent Water region.

Anderselite are recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer to join our clients MEICA team. We are seeking an experienced Water and Wastewater Commissioning Engineer to deliver innovative and challenging project in covering a diverse portfolio of MEICA and Civil works. You will work on our Severn Trent Water Frameworks within our UK delivery team, who are experienced in successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes, predominately to the Water Industry, across both Treatment Waste and Water schemes.

High levels of motivation and resilience, together with strong technical and organisational skills are essential for this role. The candidate will have a proven track record as a commissioning engineer coupled with a strong commercial acumen and Process and MEICA knowledge. They will demonstrate integrity, a hard-working ethic and be target focused, whilst embracing the challenges and changes within the industry. The commissioning engineer will play a key role in the support of a team culture within their team and as part of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the MEICA Manager and Project Manager, while being a member of a multi-disciplined team to carry out testing activities in a safe and effective manner while following Commissioning standards.
• Lead the commissioning process with a _Design to Commission_ vision, identifying and resolving installation and design faults.
• Produce commissioning plans for projects in pricing and design phase.
• Produce commissioning test documentation, carrying out pre-commissioning inspections, and demonstrating exceptional plant knowledge.
• Carry out day to day on-site commissioning activities for nominated projects.
• Produce regular project reports and Commissioning Completion Reports.
• Ensure all necessary Commissioning documentation is produced in a timely manner and co-operate with Technical Documentation teams to ensure timely delivery of O&M manuals.
• You will also be involved in initiating and implementing fault records and technical queries, as well as witnessing test activities and contributing to method statements and risk assessments.
• Production of training plans and delivery of training to end user operation and maintenance teams.
• Ensuring accurate recording of test results to satisfy internal and external auditors.
• Effective engagement with Severn Trent Water process, commissioning and operations teams to:
• Obtain buy-in to proposed commissioning plan revisions.
• Ensure the effective integration of assets into the existing works without detriment and risk to service level agreements.
• Achieve fast and effective handover to the client (including the timely delivery of all commissioning documentation, training, etc).
• Capture commissioning lessons learnt, best practice and carry out knowledge sharing to drive improvement.
• Attend and supervise off-site testing and pre-commissioning activities by suppliers or others.
• Co-operate with tight change control procedures on nominated projects.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications (ONC/HNC/equivalent – electrical, mechanical or ICA) or extensive proven experience.
• Experience of installation & commissioning in water and wastewater treatment sector.
• Experience of working to electrical procedures, including providing Electrical Permits. Pre-authorised Severn Trent Water approved Senior Authorised Person is preferable.
• Experience with planning the commissioning process to enable the commissioning to be carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Good fault-finding skills with a meticulous health and safety approach is a core requirement for the role.
• Working to safe systems of work including producing and reviewing third party Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
• Full UK driving licence.
