Job Title: Domestic Electrician
Location: Preston

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider in the housing services sector, for a skilled Domestic Electrician. If you are a qualified and experienced electrician with a passion for delivering top-quality electrical services in domestic properties, this role could be perfect for you!

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing electrical installations, circuits, and wiring systems within domestic properties. You will also ensure all work complies with the latest IEE wiring regulations and company safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and inspect electrical installations in domestic properties following the 17th IEE Wiring Regulations.
  • Maintain, repair, and replace electrical circuits and consumer units, including full property rewires.
  • Ensure strict compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other relevant legislation.
  • Work closely with line management and the Central Coordination Team to ensure the timely delivery of electrical repairs and testing in both occupied and vacant properties.
  • Participate in out-of-hours callout duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds (C&G) 2391 Inspection and Test (or C&G 2394 & 2395 equivalents).
  • C&G 2382 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations.
  • C&G Installation Certificate 2360/2351 or equivalent with Part 2 or NVQ.
  • C&G 2393 (Part P Qualification) - desirable.
  • Asbestos Awareness Training.
  • C&G 2377 PAT Testing Course.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.


Skills and Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
