Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician with a 2391 qualification to join our team. This role involves carrying out general maintenance and small electrical installations in various commercial buildings, including schools and council offices. The ideal candidate will have experience with emergency lighting and testing, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems in commercial properties, focusing on schools and council offices.
• Install and test emergency lighting systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Perform electrical inspections and testing, documenting findings and recommending necessary actions.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and troubleshooting of electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients to provide high-quality service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
• Essential:
o 2391 Electrical Testing and Inspection qualification.
o Previous experience in maintenance of commercial electrical systems, particularly in schools and public buildings.
o Strong knowledge of emergency lighting systems and testing procedures.
o Valid driving license and the ability to drive a company vehicle.
• Desirable:
o Previous experience working in the public sector or educational facilities.
o Additional electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
