Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Location: HMP New Hall, Wakefield

Pay: Up to £18.19 per hour PAYE

Hours: 8 hours per day between 7am to 5pm, primarily Monday to Friday (some weekend work may be required at enhanced pay rate)

Duration: 3 months initially with a view to extension

About the Role:

Are you a skilled electrician looking for a unique and rewarding challenge? Anderselite, an approved staffing supplier to Amey, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join our team at HMP New Hall, a closed-category prison for female adults, juveniles, and young offenders in Wakefield.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and electrical repairs within the prison facilities.
Ensure all electrical systems are safe, functional, and compliant with regulations.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Collaborate with a team of professionals to maintain the security and functionality of the prison environment.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a maintenance role.
NVQ L3
18th Edition
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work some weekends if required.
