Our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for a Large scale project based in Cornwall.
South Wales & West Region
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000
Location: Cornwall


The Opportunity:
To manage the company's resources to achieve a successful outcome technically, commercially, safely, and to the client's satisfaction on the project.

What You Will Be Doing:

Manage all Engineering Services activities in line with the company IPCD.
Manage all Engineering Services activities in line with the Project Process Document.
Oversee the resources on the project daily and report any staff issues as appropriate.
Manage project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
Identify the client's requirements and ensure these are delivered to their satisfaction.
Represent the company on any internal or external issues.
Prepare detailed plans and procedures to administer the project and ensure the project team follows these guidelines.
Ensure all project reporting is provided upstream and downstream in a timely manner.
Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
Communicate regularly with the project team on project-specific matters and company initiatives.
Manage the project cash flow to remain positive throughout the project's life.
Manage procurement and achieve best value for Engineering Services.
Identify all risks and manage actions and implementations to mitigate such risks.
Issue Health & Safety MDI – Drawing Schedule (PD01) report, Monthly Project Review report, and Monthly Project Manager report.

What Our Client Will Need From You:

Experience managing a project team to reach completion within budget and to the program.
Ability to interpret the requirements of the specification.
Experience managing procurement, labour, and sub-contractors.
Experience with stakeholder engagement and management.
Experience controlling contract costs and variations.
Experience coordinating M&E Services installations.
Experience with all health and safety requirements during the contract, including compiling method statements and risk assessments.
Compilation and presentation of Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
Experience managing contract values ranging from £2m and above.
BTEC: HNC Building Services.
BTEC: ONC Building Services.
IOSH Directing Safely - desirable.
CSCS card.
SMSTS - desirable.

*Must have 10+ years experience working on Commercial HVAC Mechanical install within a large scale and secure environment*
