Our client is recruiting currently for an experienced Quantity Surveyor based out of their Huntingdon office ideally with previous residential groundwork experience or civil engineering experience.

Reporting into the Senior Quantity Surveyor. Your main duties will be to assist the Senuor Quantity Surveyor with the following duties:
• Prepare weekly costs for Labour, Plant, Materials and Sub-contractors for each project.
• Preparation of sub-contractor work packages.
• Evaluation of sub-contractor valuations and approvals for payment.
• Preparation of cost reports for smaller projects.
• Monitoring and updating material pricing records for use in cost reporting.
• Assist the Estimator with detailed cost reports and the pricing of tenders.
• Work with the site team and factory teams to understand the modular build process.
• Work with the procurement team to reduce project costs in and increase value.

The Quantity Surveyor will require the following.
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or an HND Quantity Surveying.
• A positive attitude which generates ideas and solutions to improve systems
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Be proficient in Microsoft software packages
• Have a keen eye for detail
• A full UK driver’s licence and own transport
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and flexibility in approach
• Be able to deal with challenges to decisions and requests
• Have the ability to work on their own initiative
