The client
My client are a medium sized civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in the Greater Manchester area. Typical projects for this contractor consist of groundwork projects, demolition, remediation, muck shift and general civil engineering projects.The roleThis is a split office and site based role. The office is in Greater Manchester and the sites are in the North West area (Manchester / Lancashirel) areas.
Duties
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
Undertaking costs analysis
Providing advice on contractual claims
Assisting in establishing a clients requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
Performing risk and value management and cost control
Advising on procurement strategy
Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
Allocating work to subcontractors
Candidate essentials
Subcontractor groundworks background (must have run groundworks projects from inception to final account).
Civil engineering sector ideally experience working for a groundwork’s subcontractor
Must have run complex civil engineering and groundworks jobs as a lead quantity surveyor
Must have experience working in a fast paced civil engineering environment
Compiled and administered NEC subcontract contracts previously
Salary
£45,000 - £58,000 (depending on experience) please note they are open to seeing assistant level candidates who have ran own projects and want to make a step up
