My client is seeking a skilled Site Engineer for an 8-week contract to work on a Yorkshire Water site. This role involves working on critical water sector projects, including water treatment, wastewater treatment works (WWTW), clean water systems, and chemical dosing.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee site activities ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
Manage the construction of water treatment facilities, including, clean water systems, and sewage treatment plants.
Supervise chemical dosing installations and p-removal processes.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications related to water and wastewater treatment projects.
Ensure all works comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
Conduct site surveys and set out construction works.
Monitor site operations to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
Implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the worksite.
Liaise with the project manager, site team, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Prepare daily reports on project progress and site conditions.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely updates.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in water sector projects, particularly water treatment, WWTW, and sewage treatment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
CSCS card holder.
SMSTS or equivalent site safety qualification.
Experience with water treatment, clean water, chemical dosing, p-removal, and cofferdams is highly desirable.
