My client is looking to appoint a Site Manager for a project in the North East on a long term freelance basis. My client is a leading Tier 1 main contractor who deliver projects across a range of sectors including health, education, highways, justice, defence, aviation, water and environment.
The Successful candidate will report to the Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for the ownership of onsite project delivery for as specified works upon induction. The site manager will be responsible for the inductions of contractors, site set up, health and safety, RAMS review, programme management, welfare, and local environment. Any required isolations or permit requests will also be the responsibility of the site manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring SSOW are in place, being followed and processes are being adhered to.
- Pre-starts and mobilisation of all projects to include setting up related logbooks
- COSHH, Welfare facilities and site set up
- RAMS review and permits
- Weekly audits to demonstrate SSOW, RAMS are being adhered to and the project is inline with programme and any agreed milestones.
Experience and qualifications
- Previous experience as a Site Manger or Package Manager on large scale construction projects
- Black or Gold CSCS Card required
- First Aid
- SMSTS qualification
