Site Manager – Retford/Mansfield
An exciting opportunity is available for a Site Manager in the Retford/Mansfield area with a leading company in the water sector. This role is perfect for candidates with a strong background in civil engineering and site management, particularly within the Water/Waste Water Treatment Industry.
Role Overview
As a Site Manager, youll report directly to the Senior Site Manager and be responsible for leading the site team to ensure the safe and efficient management of all operational activities on various projects. The key focus will be on meeting Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards, as well as ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Community and Public Relations: Ensure all works are conducted with consideration for the local population and traveling public, minimizing disruptions.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and manage the site team to achieve project goals.
• Cost Efficiency: Drive cost-effective management through efficient use of resources.
• Programme Management: Prepare, review, and update realistic project timelines to ensure timely completion.
• Safety Compliance: Oversee the development and updating of method statements and risk assessments to maintain site safety.
• Documentation Management: Ensure all “as constructed” records are provided to the CDM Coordinator for the Health and Safety File promptly after project completion.
• Training: Participate in necessary training related to site management duties, including temporary works and appointed person courses.
Candidate Requirements
• Qualifications: Civil Engineering/Site Management qualifications are essential.
• Safety Certifications: Health, Safety, and Environmental Management certification (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate) is required.
• Site Certification: Must hold a CSCS Site Manager card (minimum requirement).
• First Aid Certification: First Aid at Work certification is necessary.
• Industry Experience: Proven experience in the Water/Waste Water Treatment Industry, with expertise in deep excavation and civils construction.
