Job Opportunity: Project Surveyor - Hertfordshire & Essex Region

Anderselite are currently seeking a Project Surveyor to join our team in Hertfordshire region, working on a project with an approximate value of £18 million.


Your Responsibilities:

- Procuring subcontract packages
- Assembling and managing enquiry documentation
- Obtaining and analyzing subcontractor quotations, and making informed recommendations
- Preparing and managing subcontractor order documentation
- Overseeing payments to subcontractors
- Commercial management of subcontract packages
- Supporting the preparation of main contract valuations
- Assisting with monthly and quarterly forecast reporting
- Finalizing accounts for subcontract packages
- Contributing to project risk and opportunity planning
- Maintaining professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Identifying opportunities for design development to improve project delivery
- Managing client valuations and variations through to final account agreement
- Ensuring compliance with all contract requirements
What Were Looking For:

- Strong experience in the commercial or residential sectors is advantageous.
- Proven track record working with a main contractor in the construction industry, particularly in a two-stage tender environment.
- Experience in managing and working effectively within a team.
- Degree-qualified and/or working towards MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Comfortable working as a No.2 Surveyor within a commercial team, with a strong commitment to project success.
- Positive, proactive approach with excellent collaboration skills.
- Expert negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with BIM and computer-aided measurement tools.
- Extensive experience in:
- Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Managing subcontract accounts and procurement
- Adhering to company best practice procedures
- Understanding health and safety regulations
